The eligibility for the program is graduation from any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks for open category, 45% for reserved category, and 55% for other than state university students. For admission, the candidates need to pass CET conducted by the University which is held online.
Irene Institute of Education, Kalyan, with Muslim Religious Minority status, affiliated to the University of Mumbai, was established in 2005. B. Ed. is a professional teacher's education program for students who aspire to become teachers in secondary school and junior college.
From 2015-16 the B.Ed. program is two years with four semesters. The intake capacity of the B.Ed. program is 50+ 50. The program has theory and practicum component for each semester.
