The eligibility for the program is graduation from any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks for open category and 45% for reserved category, and 55% for other than state university students. For admission the candidates need to pass CET conducted by the University which is held online.
Irene Jr. College of Education, established in 2006, began offering the D.T.Ed. Program (Diploma in Teachers Education) from the academic year 2006–2007. The current intake for the D.El.Ed. program is 50 students.
Students admitted to the program come from diverse backgrounds. Many face economic challenges and often come from rural areas. To address their specific needs and concerns, the college provides various remedial programs and counseling services.
The College is well-equipped with the necessary infrastructure and technology support, and is staffed by a team of well-qualified teaching professionals dedicated to the holistic development of each student.
The D.El.Ed. is a two-year program governed by the Maharashtra State Council of Educational Research and Training (MSCERT). It is designed to provide comprehensive educational input and to foster the all-round development of the students’ personalities.
